Eustis Engineering is currently looking for a Welding Inspector to perform welding and structural steel inspection on projects throughout southeastern Louisiana and southern Mississippi.
Requirements
The candidate must have satisfactorily completed the certified Welding Inspector exam from the AWS and be registered as a current CWI. A Welding Inspector with a current TWIC card is preferred.
He/she must have a minimum of two years’ experience in inspection of welded and or fabricated components to the AWS D1.1 welding code. He/she will inspect materials and observe activities associated with construction of structures, and fabrication of equipment to ensure the procedures and materials comply with plans and specifications.

Work Conditions
While performing the duties of this job, the individual is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; outside weather conditions; extreme cold and extreme heat. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; risk of electrical shock; risk of radiation and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
Pre-and-post Employment Requirements
The individual will also be enrolled in Eustis Engineering’s alcohol and drug abuse testing program and will be subject to random drug and alcohol screenings. A pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and background check are required as part of the employment process.
